In hospitality, a customer’s interaction with the front desk often sets the tone for the entire service experience. It is crucial, therefore, to equip students to deal with the challenges and stresses that come with a front office job.

FHMCT offers students the chance to practice their skills in two front office labs. 

Front Office Lab 1

Front Office operations are simulated and students are taught to respond to them in their roles as receptionists and concierges. These simulations teach students how to deal with demanding customers, unusual requests and the complications of their roles, all with grace and confidence.

Through simulations, students learn more about the managerial work that goes into ensuring the smooth operation of Front Office activities. Often, this goes beyond service to customers to include management of various teams and individuals.
