Message from the Dean

At the Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology (FHMCT), we equip our students to deal with a fast changing industry while remaining true to the hospitality industry’s original goal of customer satisfaction.

Since its inception in 1993, FHMCT has established a name for itself as an institute that effortlessly brings together theory and practical application with its flexible, industry-focussed curriculum.

The institute focuses on four operation areas — Food and Beverage Production, Food and Beverage Service, Housekeeping and Front Office. Courses in these core functions are supported with management subjects that cover economics, statistics, business law and principles of management.

In addition to this strong theoretical foundation, FHMCT ensures extensive hands-on learning. The institute organizes countless industry visits, conducts workshops and seminars by experienced professionals, and teaches students the practical realities of the industry through real-life simulations. Students, therefore, graduate with a thorough understanding of the industry and learn how to efficiently navigate it.

It is a testament to the excellence of the institute that every batch has achieved 100% placement. Students have been placed in leading hotels nationally as well as internationally.

We are happy to welcome more students to the FHMCT family and are eager to set them on the path to successful, enriching careers.
