Sports

Sports are an important part of student life at RUAS. Students enthusiastically participate in the sports events and competitions regularly conducted by the Faculty. They are also encouraged to participate in athletic meets held by other colleges.

All FHMCT students are divided into one of four houses, each of which is led by a Captain and a Vice Captain:

  • Pandora
  • Sirius
  • Hydra
  • Electra

Students represent their respective houses when participating in intra-college events, like:

  • Kabaddi
  • Throwball
  • Volleyball

Annual Sports Day

Held every year at the University level, the Sports Day sees enthusiastic participation from students, professors and non-teaching staff across faculties. Well-known athletes and sports stars preside over the event as participants go head-to-head in sports like cricket, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, kho kho, and kabaddi.

Sports at RUAS

In addition to well-planned indoor and outdoor sports facilities, the University conducts annual athletic meets and inter-faculty competitions to encourage students to explore their athletic side. It also has teams for football, basketball, cricket, throwball, volleyball, kabaddi, and kho kho. These teams are guided by experienced coaches and sports managers who help students put their best foot forward in tournaments across the city and the country.
