Guest Lecture on "Role of Industrial Exposure Training in Shaping the Professional Mindset of a Future Hotelier"


The Food and Beverage Service Department organised a session on Role of Industrial Exposure Training in Shaping the Professional Mindset of a Future Hotelier for the students of Batch 2020 on 1st February 2022. The talk was delivered by Mr. Sumit Sinha. An industry expert, with an experience of more than 28 years in the hospitality industry converting strategic vision into measurable results. He is the Former Director of Food & Beverage, Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla. Prior to that, he has worked with brands like Taj and DLF Golf Resorts. He has also worked on an overseas assignment as consultant, based out of Kuwait. He has completed his education from IHM Bangalore. 

He gave the students information on Food and Beverage Service operations in various organisations in India and overseas, the concept of budgets and average check. He advised the students on what they should observe and learn while they are training on the job’. He also gave them information on the changes in staffing and operational procedures post pandemic. The students were advised on their roles and responsibilities during their training period and the impact of the training on their professional lives. The interactive session was extremely beneficial for the students.
